Let me provide you with the support that's right for you.

Common Breastfeeding Difficulties

Latching Pain

I can help you find a comfortable and effective latch and position to eliminate pain and ensure good milk transfer and weight gain.

Cracked Nipples

This is often a latching and/or positioning issue. Often some minor tweaks can ensure no further damage occurs. I can also support you through your healing so that you can continue to breastfeed. If an oral anatomy issue is causing the pain I can refer to a suitable provider if you would like further intervention.

Clogged or Blocked Ducts

We can talk though your history and identify what may be causing the issue and develop a plan to treat the block and stop it from reoccurring.

Breast Pain

Breast pain can be due to injury or infection. A thorough history and observation can assist in getting to the root of the issue.

Unsettled Baby

There are many reasons why a baby may be unsettled. We can talk through your concerns and identify any potential causes and develop a plan of action.

Low Weight Gain

Some baby’s struggle to gain weight in the early days (and less frequently later). A thorough feeding assessment can help get to the bottom of the issue. A feeding plan can then be developed.

Low Milk Supply

Some mothers may experience low milk supply due to early feeding difficulties or due to medical reasons. A thorough history & feeding assessment can help get to the bottom of the issue and a plan to increase supply put in place.

Breast Anatomy Issues

Concerned about inverted nipples, breast size or previous breast history? An antenatal consultation can address any concerns and develop a care plan if needed.

Baby Won’t Sleep

It’s very normal for baby’s to wake frequently. However, sometimes there is discomfort or other issues leading to broken sleep. Even with normal infant waking there are ways to support optimal natural sleeping development.
